What happens when the trademark luck of the Irish turns sour?
Aontas tells the story of three women driven to desperate measures in their small Northern Ireland town. They plan to rob the local credit union, but the plan goes horribly awry, pitting neighbours against neighbours in a tense standoff. The story of the robbery unfolds in reverse, though, as writers Sarah Gordon and Damian McCann find the real drama in the circumstances that forced the women to hatch the plan in the first place.
This Irish-language noir plays like Widows meets Memento as the pieces of the twisty puzzle fall into place leading up to the end–or beginning.
