“Naza,” the latest film from the documentary filmmakers behind the Oscar-winning “No Other Land,” has won the Special Jury Prize and is notable for being the only documentary selected for the main competition at the Venice International Film Festival, added just a few days before the screening due to safety concerns.
This powerful and important film examines how Israel selects targets for airstrikes in Gaza. Shot secretly on the rooftops of Tel Aviv under the cover of night, “Naza” presents the findings of an investigation that spans nearly three years. It features interviews with 24 Israeli military intelligence officers and soldiers discussing the systems used to identify targets in Gaza.
